How would you like to import the channels?
This is where you can create and manage your own custom TV channels.
You know the ritual. You sit down to “watch one thing,” and twenty thumb-twitches later you’ve sampled four intros and adopted a new hobby called regretting choices. Then you open Proudlock TV. Instead of a wall of maybes, there’s a guide. Instead of indecision, there’s a channel. You click. Something is already playing. You’re not “choosing a video.” You’re tuning in.
That’s the quiet superpower here. Proudlock TV isn’t a playlist bucket. It’s a creative streaming studio that treats time like a first-class citizen. You decide what your channel is about and how long things run. The app keeps the beat. You get your night back.
You head to the Admin Console and select New Channel. Give it a name you’ll actually say out loud, and upload a logo. Everything you set up is saved on your device for privacy, like a diary that also happens to air programming.
By default, shows are 10 minutes long. That keeps your fledgling channel marching even if you haven’t fine-tuned everything yet. Prefer precision? Edit the exact runtime per show so the handoff happens when you say so. Want live news streams capped at one hour each? Set those to 60 minutes and they’ll wrap on time. You’re designing a cadence, not just tossing links in a bucket.
In the editor, go to the Add Content tab. You can drag and drop a URL in from another tab on desktop, or paste a URL directly. The app pulls the info it needs and slots the show into your channel.
Note for minimalists: there is no tagging system and no shuffle. This is about clear, intentional programming. If you want chaos, visit social media.
Back on the Player view, tune to your channel and watch what’s on right now. The guide shows what’s playing and what’s next. You’re no longer hunting for “the next video.” The next show simply arrives, because your channel has a heartbeat.
Proudlock TV is ruthless about one truth: time is the format. The default 10-minute runtime gets you moving fast. From there, you tune it:
You can edit programming in the Admin Console anytime. There’s no “housekeeping” tab with bureaucratic vibes; there’s just you, the schedule, and a satisfying Save button.
The Guide tells you what’s on now and what’s coming up. The Player just plays. That’s the deal. If you’re fidgety, glance at the guide. If you’re human, you’ll eventually stop glancing and simply watch, because momentum is addictive.
Your channels live locally in your browser by default. When you want to move setups between devices or keep a safety copy, Export. Later, Import to restore. It’s your studio, your data, your problem if you name a channel “Video Pile #7.” Pick better names.
Proudlock TV is the antidote to indecision. You’re not herding links. You’re producing a channel, with a tempo. Set the times. Add the shows. Tune in. The rest is just the pleasant hum of a schedule doing its job.
