1. Introduction

Welcome to Yrrej TV / Proudlock TV (accessible via proudlocktv.com and related domains). Your privacy is of paramount importance to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our client-side TV network application.

2. Data Sovereignty & Storage

Unlike traditional streaming services, Yrrej TV / Proudlock TV is primarily a client-side application. This means:

  • Your channel configurations, play history, and preferences are stored locally on your device (using IndexedDB and LocalStorage).
  • We do not maintain a central server database of your personal viewing habits or custom channel lists unless you explicitly use a cloud-sync feature.
  • If you choose to use the Dropbox Sync feature, your data is transmitted directly to your own Dropbox account. We do not intermediate this data.

3. Information We Collect

A. Technical Data: When you access our website, standard web server logs may capture your IP address, browser type, and time of access for security and debugging purposes.

B. Third-Party APIs: Our application integrates with the YouTube Data API v3. By using Yrrej TV / Proudlock TV, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Note: The YouTube API provides the video content. Google may collect usage data as described in their own policies.

C. API Keys: If you choose to configure YouTube or Gemini API keys within the app, these keys are stored exclusively in your browser's LocalStorage on your own device. We never transmit, log, or have access to your API keys.

3A. Petey Vee AI Assistant & Data Sent to Google

Yrrej TV includes Petey Vee, an optional AI assistant powered by Google Gemini (via the Google AI Studio API). This feature is entirely opt-in and requires you to supply your own Gemini API key.

When you interact with Petey Vee, the following information is transmitted to Google's servers to generate a response:

  • The text of your chat messages.
  • Contextual metadata generated by the app, such as the names and IDs of your channels and lineups (but not your video library contents in bulk).
  • The title and ID of the video you are currently watching, if the chat dock is open while watching.

This data is processed by Google subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google AI Studio Terms. We do not store, log, or have access to any conversation data you send to Petey Vee. Your chat history is saved locally in your own browser only.

If you do not wish to use the AI feature, simply do not configure a Gemini API key. All other features of the app function fully without it.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use LocalStorage and IndexedDB to store your app state. We may use minimal functional cookies to:

  • Remember your cookie consent preferences.
  • Maintain your session for cloud sync (if enabled).
  • Monitor basic site performance via anonymous analytics.

5. Your Rights

Because your data is stored locally, you have total control:

  • Deletion: You can wipe all app data by clearing your browser cache or using the "Reset App" option in settings.
